The second of our two groups has just returned from Costa Rica.
This from Charlie, the group's leader (sent a few days ago, while I was incommunicado in the Atlas mountains: sorry for the late posting!):
"Coming to the end of what has been a memorable trip. Over 220 species of birds have been spotted, mostly in magnificent tropical forest habitats, along with howler monkeys, tamandua, peccaries, poison dart frogs and American crocodiles. Local expertise provided by Adolfo (and Orlando the last couple of days) has put everything into context. It's been like learning a new language, with all the excitement that entails but none of the tedious grammar! From the smallest of leafhoppers to the largest of Ceiba trees and everything in between, wildlife here never ceases to amaze. The flowers and birds have provided touches of brilliant colour against the innumerable shades of green. As one of our group pointed out, "It's like being in a painting by Rousseau."
Wildlife Travel will be returning to Costa Rica in February 2014: get in touch to reserve your place!
