Morocco 2012

Our group recently returned from another successful Morocco trip. Led by Dr Tim Upson of Cambridge University Botanic Garden, the group found that the winter has been a very dry one for Morocco this year (quite a contrast with the over-flowing reservoirs and green countryside of Cyprus!).

While mainly a botanic trip, there were still plenty of other things to look at, not least the critically endangered Northern Bald Ibis, which just about hangs on in Morocco, with a second tiny population of just a handful of birds hopefully still surviving in Syria.
